ALPHACAM, by Vero Software, to be Shown at Coverings 2016, Chicago, Ill., April 18-21
The innovative ALPHACAM solution for the manufacturing of stone, wood, and metal, by Vero Software, will be exhibited April 18-21 at Coverings 2016, hosted at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill.
Billed as the largest tile and stone exhibition in North America, Coverings is a conference and exhibition that showcases the latest technologies and products by exhibitors from all over the world.
Attendees of the show are encouraged to learn more about ALPHACAM at Booth No. 675, where live demonstrations of its productivity-enhancing features will be demonstrated.
Among significant upgrades available within ALPHACAM 2016 R1 are improvements to the system’s stone macros, automation, and parametric-sketching capabilities.
ALPHACAM’s new Automation Manager enables 2D and 3D CAD files, along with solid models from third-party software, to be batch-processed from file preparation to toolpath applica-tion, with automatically generated NC code. Additionally, the files create a full report struc-ture, including labels and bar coding.
The new stone macros added to ALPHACAM’s powerful stone module delivers improved ease of use to manufacturers requiring quick and easy sawing of profiles and slabs. Complex 3D shapes are now automatically created from simple 2D geometry.
The new parametric sketcher offers a simple means of parametrically generating geometries for files that are used regularly, without the need for complicated constraints or routines.
With the new sketcher, common CAD geometry is created automatically, regenerating the file with any required variables, which eliminates the need to redraw similar components or families of parts. They are built using standard geometry commands and parts with the same form, but different sizes are created by simply modifying the values of one or more variables.
